Kamal Haasan got married to Vani Ganapathy in 1978. After 10 years, they got divorced. In 1988, he got married to actress Sarika Thakur. They had two daughters, Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan. In 2004, Kamal and Sarika got divorced. Apart from acting, Kamal is also active in politics. In 2018, he formed his political party, Makkal Needhi Malam.
