Assassin’s Creed creator Patrice Désilets is bringing a new action-adventure title dubbed 1666: Amsterdam that is going to get an early access release on PC later this month. Developer Panache Digital Games announced Monday that the title will be making its debut on the Epic Games Store and Steam on August 25, 2026. Nonetheless, in early access, all players will be getting a portion of the full game.
Panache Digital Games announced 1666: Amsterdam at Summer Game Fest in June and released a playable prologue for the game on PC at the same time. The early access version of the title will be getting a large chunk of the game. According to a report published by Eurogamer, 1666: Amsterdam will be available at a price of $30 in the international market, including 10 hours of gameplay. The Steam page of the game says it will bring the first part of the campaign, and it will take 15 hours to complete.
Furthermore, Panache Digital Games also showcased core gameplay systems across dual protagonists Noa and Aaron. The gameplay video also features investigation mechanics that players will utilise to hunt down The Originals, who are powerful centuries-old entities across Amsterdam. The developer also said that the game will remain in early access for approximately a year. Now, Panache has also promised multiple major updates that will add new content to the game at regular intervals.
For those unaware, 1666: Amsterdam is a third-person, story-driven action-adventure title that follows the story of Noa Brooklyn, a Collector who wields witchcraft to uncover demonic entities. The game brings different day and night gameplay elements. Apart from that, you can also see a prologue demo for the title, which is currently available on the Epic Games Store and Steam. However, there is no word on the release of the game for console versions, but the studio has said that it will be released later.
