Verizon customers have reported problems with mobile phone and home internet services, with more than 1,000 reports logged on Downdetector by late Saturday afternoon.
The outage reports began to increase before 16:00 local time and Verizon was also trending on Google and being discussed on social media.
The biggest reported problems were related to home internet and mobile phone services.
It was not immediately clear how widespread the disruption was, and there was no information on when services would be fully restored.
Outages of this kind are often resolved relatively quickly, although the cause and duration of the reported problems were not immediately known.
