Raina’s latest contribution to Assam comes after a controversy involving him and the Assam Police last year. In February 2025, Assam Police registered a case against Raina, YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and several other influencers in connection with an episode of the YouTube show India’s Got Latent. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had shared details about the case and named the individuals accused in connection with the alleged content, with Samay Raina among those named.
