The Late Show with Stephen Colbert ended its run on Thursday with its highest-rated regular weeknight episode, according to preliminary Nielsen figures reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The programme’s finale drew an estimated 6.74 million viewers, more than double its current season average of around 2.69 million viewers per episode, Nielsen data showed.
