Rockstar Games is owning the internet with all the chatter that is going around GTA 6, especially with the announcement of the GTA 6 Extended Look debut on Netflix on August 27. The debate around the pricing of the game has been going on for a very long time, and a lot of people have said that the $100 price is something that Rockstar will justify, while some gamers think otherwise.
Talking about the same, in the earnings call of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick admitted that they could’ve charged a higher price for GTA 6 and still would have done insane numbers in terms of marketing because of all the hype around the game. This is the main reason why they didn’t go for pricing the base variant at $100 instead of $80.
Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick said, “Offering a phenomenal value at $80 makes sense for some consumers, and then offering incremental value at a modestly increased price ($100) also makes sense. Given the hype around this title, I think we could have made any number of other pricing choices. But as I said earlier, our focus is on delivering way, way, way more value than what we charge for something.”
GTA 6 Pricing In India
GTA 6 is already available for pre-orders in India for both PlayStation and Xbox, and the game has two editions: Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition. The Standard Edition of GTA 6 is available for purchase at a price of Rs 5,999. On the other hand, the Ultimate Edition of the game is available for a price of Rs 7,499.
