Auqib Nabi earned his maiden India call-up after an injury to Jasprit Bumrah. Nabi, who has scalped more than 100 wickets in the past two Ranji Trophy seasons, made it to the India A squad but he missed out on making it to the national team. Bumrah’s injury paved the way for Nabi to become the first Jammu and Kashmir cricketer to make it to the Test squad. Wasim Jaffer seemed to be upset with Nabi’s late call-up and he opined that the pacer should have been in the original squad.
