She added that much of what happened never made it to the screen. “A lot happened behind the scenes that viewers didn’t get to see. We were constantly referred to as ‘gully ke bacche,’ ‘kids,’ ‘these young people,’ and things like that. After a point, it became too much. Payal stood up for herself, and I stood up for all of us. I told them they couldn’t keep sidelining us all the time. Whenever it came to forming alliances, they would choose others and forget about us. We were always treated like the dismissed or neglected group.” Niti further explained that this eventually led to her alliance with the younger contestants.
