During his inspection, Mallabaruah directed officials to continue emergency protection work using geo-bags, earth, sand and other required materials. He also ordered a detailed technical survey of the damaged stretch and adjoining vulnerable areas, along with preparation of a comprehensive cost estimate for permanent restoration and strengthening of the embankment.
