Pradeep Rawat passed away at the age of 74 after a prolonged battle with blood cancer. According to his manager Siddharth Tiwari, the actor had been admitted to a Mumbai hospital for over a month after his illness relapsed. He is survived by his wife and son, Vikramaditya.
Known for his towering screen presence, Rawat enjoyed a career spanning decades across Hindi and South Indian cinema. He became a household name for portraying memorable antagonists in films such as Ghajini, Lagaan, Sarfarosh, Baadshah, Koyla, and several Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, and Bhojpuri films. Before entering films, he also played Ashwatthama in B.R. Chopra’s iconic television series Mahabharat.
