Huge fires erupted across Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, after Russia launched a large ballistic missile attack shortly after midnight on August 5. The Ukrainian Air Force reported detecting several ballistic missiles heading for the capital from around 12:20 AM local time, prompting air raid alerts. Reports indicated that nearly three dozen missiles may have been part of the strike, including KN-23 (Hwasong-11A) ballistic missiles provided by North Korea.
