The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced that Michael Smith, a former first-class cricket player and coach from South Africa, has been named batting coach of the Pakistan men’s squad. Smith will collaborate with the club in both white-ball and red-ball versions. According to the ICC, the 46-year-old participated in 16 T20 matches, 72 List-A matches, and 89 first-class matches between 2003 and 2013. Smith has coached teams in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), including Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, and Multan Sultans earlier this season.
