But Liu also acknowledged something interesting about photographers who own both: their phones have quietly become the primary device for capturing real life. “When they use their traditional camera, the content is almost 90% staged, posing and stuff like that. When you want to capture something, the right moment, it’s a phone. You don’t have time to put the entire camera all together, insert the SD card, charge the batteries before-hand, manage the settings, take care of lighting and then shoot. By the time you’re done with all this, the moment is already gone.”
