Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is one of the filmmaker’s most expensive films and the first film in Hollywood to be shot in IMAX. The cast and crew travelled to countries such as Morocco, Greece, Italy, Scotland, Iceland, and Malta to shoot the film. During the film’s long and arduous shoot, only one person was allowed to visit. Star Matt Damon, who plays Odysseus, shared that his childhood best friend and filmmaking partner Ben Affleck was the only person who came to see how The Odyssey was made. Affleck revealed that he was very grateful to be granted the opportunity to visit his friend at work.
