Mohan Sharma recently revealed that he is living in an old-age home after years of financial hardship. Speaking to Behindwoods, the veteran said he underwent a leg surgery to remove a growth and also suffered a ligament tear, spending around Rs 4–5 lakh on treatment. He also lives with vertigo, hypertension and diabetes, requiring daily insulin injections. He said his monthly medical expenses alone amount to nearly Rs 35,000. Unable to afford his medicines at one point, he moved into an old-age home after friends from the Rotary Club, who serve as trustees of the institution, offered him a place to stay.
