The core members of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) will hold a crucial meeting at founder Abhijeet Dipke’s residence in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on August 5 to discuss the outfit’s future course of action.
According to news agency PTI, activists and volunteers of the CJP were asked to spend time with their families after the outfit’s month-long agitation against the alleged NEET paper leak at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar last month.
It has been learnt that the core members of the CJP were also asked to interact with volunteers and students and bring their feedback, views and suggestions to the upcoming meeting. The outfit will hold a press conference after the August 5 meeting to announce decisions on its future course of action, PTI reported, citing its sources.
CJP Eyes Next Chapter
The inputs collected during the CJP members’ interactions with volunteers and students are expected to form the basis of discussions on August 5. A press conference is scheduled after the meeting, during which the CJP leadership is likely to announce its future roadmap and key decisions.
Meanwhile, Dipke celebrated Friendship Day by interacting with students, local residents and visitors from neighbouring districts at his residence in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
The CJP’s protests over the alleged NEET paper leak drew significant participation from Gen Z and students across the country. The agitation at Jantar Mantar led to widespread support from students and led to the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Dipke Hopes For PM Modi’s Apology
Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Instagram video, Abhijeet Dipke on Saturday said he expected PM Modi to apologise to the girls who were “beaten up” by police officers during the protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on July 20.
Referring to PM Modi’s video message where he said he wanted to forgive the protesters who abused him, Dipke said in a video on X that the Prime Minister might upload another video on Saturday night. “I think Modi ji will upload a new video tonight, so I hope that he will apologise…..he will apologise for the lathi-charge of July 20,” the CJP leader said.
