While in the film Sara is shown only in flashbacks, as per MCU lore, Sara Grey was a telepathic mutant and the sister of Jean Grey. In the film, the story’s central conflict is driven by revenge, with Jean Grey’s older sister, Sara Grey (played by Olivia Booth-Ford), being a driving factor. While many moviegoers may assume Sara is a brand-new addition created for the film – having never appeared in any previous X-Men movie – she is, in fact, an established character from Marvel Comics. Though far less prominent than her younger sister, Sara has her own place in X-Men lore, and her inclusion could play an important role in shaping Jean Grey’s journey long before she joins the X-Men.
