According to a report by the Cebu Daily News, centre manager Ildebrando Velasquez confirmed the courts were built entirely in-house, no outside contractor, no new funding, just existing staff and a coat of paint on unused ground beside the facility’s track oval. Velasquez has openly admitted the surface is uneven and far from tournament standard, but says it’s good enough for casual players simply looking to play.
