The police said that the fresh charges were added after investigators recorded the complainant’s statement and examined medical evidence. The case, initially registered on allegations of sexual harassment, stalking, voyeurism, assault and criminal intimidation, now includes Section 64(1) (rape) and Section 109 (attempt to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
